“Definitely not big rig friendly. ”

We called twice before staying here to verify that they could accommodate our 43' fifth wheel and we were assured both times that it was not a problem.

Just getting into the campground was a nightmare: extremely steep entrance on driveway. We were told we were reserved in site 303 when we booked but upon arrival they told us we could go look at sites 306 and 315. My husband had to walk down as we were told to wait in the driveway in case our rig would be able to make the tight turns. Um, what?

While he walked down to look at the sites, our rig blocked anyone trying to enter or exit the campground. We had several irate drivers on both sides of us. Can't say that I blame them but it wasn't our fault.

Finally, we decided to try 315 because while both sites looked equally questionable, 315 was shadier and wider. We spent a record 1.5 hours trying to place our fiver on the site so that it would be even remotely level. The grade was tipped so steeply from side to side --coupled with the many large, low-hanging branches-- that we just couldn't make it work.

Onto site 306. Nearly didn't make it. The road on the top level from 315 to 306 was so incredibly narrow on a steep embankment that passing the bathhouse was a nightmare. Thanks to my husband's expert driving, we made it through without scraping the bathhouse or falling down the embankment. Later on, several other campers said they couldn't believe we did it.

While 306 was more level, it was basically little more than the width of our RV with the slides CLOSED. And, the hookups are all on the wrong side! We didn't have an extension cord for our electric so we had to wait until Ace hardware was open the next morning to buy one.

And, in order for all the hookups to be able to reach, we had to place our rig so that our door and stairs open right into the water pump. At least that slows your descent before you roll down the embankment.

Frankly, we haven't left yet and are worried about getting our RV up and out of that steep driveway.

We have 2 RVs and full time in this larger one. I can confidently say that even our 34' TT would have had trouble here.

I cannot understand why --after 2 calls specifically about the size of our rig-- we were told that it wasn't a problem at all.

This place seems like it's basically a semi-permanent mobile vacation spot for locals who want to use the on-site bar and walk back to their trailer. That's great but it's not a campground.

The campground is not a pleasant one! 3/4 full of full-time mobile homes that don't appear well kept. Spaces are very tight and difficult to get to. We drove through as we were considering a month-long site.... Won't be doing that.
