Snowberry Bowl Campground

We arrived pretty late since it was the last few days of our WABDR trip and we just wanted to set up and sleep until we had to leave for home. It ended up being a really nice campground with clean bathrooms and a river going through the campground. We had 12 people and 6 cars so we stayed in the group site (3 nights) which had lots of room and tables and a bathroom close by. Very pretty scenery and hardly any mosquitoes. Sites spread out so when we had neighbors it didn’t feel cramped our crowded. No cell service. River was easy to get to and really nice.

This is a well below average USFS campground which we chose only because the nearby State Parks were filled up. One night was plenty.

Pluses: $10 a night, $5 with the old fart pass. Cleanish pit toilets, very few mosquitoes, water (but not at the sites) and shade.

Has fire rings and well worn picnic tables. The campground itself is in an odd spot on the side of a mountain, not near the creek. Campground dates from the 90s but seems a lot older.
