Overview of Snow Hill Designated Dispersed Campsite 1

Camping is only allowed at designated campsites in Delaware State Forest. Reservations and permits are required and can be made online or over the phone. Campfires are prohibited from March 1 - May 25 without authorization from the state forest.

Black bears frequent the area. When not in immediate use, all food, beverages, coolers, cooking utensils, pet food, or other attractants must be kept in a closed, hard-sided vehicle or secured in a bear-proof storage container.

Overall Rating

it's $10 a night plus reservation fee. the first few campsites were wet. Snow. Hill is the nicest and close to the lake. We saw a bear about 80 meters from campsite. the road is gravel/dirt and was in good condition after all the rain.

Beautiful site big enough for 3 campers (2 34 ft 1 small) No hook ups, but that’s the kind of camping we enjoy. Very clean. Nice walk to scenic pond, stocked with trout, no swimming though. Didn’t see much wild life besides squirrels and 1 snake. Can’t wait to go back.
