“Nice campground in the forest by Snaring River”

Reviewed 7/28/2022

Nightly rate: $26
RV Length: 20' (Travel Trailer)
Overall Rating

Nice CG with good sites. It's in the forest so views of the beautiful mountains are very limited. There are 4 loops - A, B, C, D. D is a walk-in tent site loop. The sites are generally well-spaced with some distance from neighbors and a little screening from trees and bushes. There are some nice interpretive signs in the CG. Vault toilets were clean. Wood for fires (fee). Fire ring and picnic table at each site. The CG is in level area, not hilly or sloped, so sites are generally level. Fee was $26 CDN July 2022. Fills quickly on weekends and mostly full during week (July). Arrive earlier in the day (not late afternoon or evening) to get a spot. Not too far from Jasper, maybe 10kms or so, then another 4 kms up the turnoff. Overall a nice campground.

Beautiful campground. Sites are semi-level and spaced out with some privacy. There are some river front campsites. There are pit toilets, trash, and water available from cistern. We enjoyed watching the elk roam through grazing on the grass in our campsite.
