“Beautiful campground. Very quiet throughout the week. Weekends tend to be busy.”

Reviewed Jun 02, 2019

Overall Rating

We camped Thursday-Sunday. Campsite was level with fresh gravel. Site was a back-in with easy access. Our travel trailer is 25’ L, and we had plenty of room to park two cars on our site. Site was provided with water and electricity (30 Amp). Site also had a picnic table and fire ring. Thursday and Friday were very quiet. Weekend was busy but campground was still quiet during evening hours. Bath house was clean and had individual showers. Plenty of activities within the park and outside it!

“Another Great Virginia State Park”

Reviewed Mar 11, 2018

Overall Rating

This is a large and well-maintained park. You have to take a lot of back roads to get here, and there aren’t too many signs for it. The visitor center is the first thing you’ll see, and it’s really nice. It’s a short drive from there to the campsites. Ours was fairly level and had fresh gravel on it.
The bathrooms and showers were clean as usual for a Virginia state park. There are a lot of hiking and biking trails around here and the nearby town has lots of fun boating activities. Best to come during the warm months to enjoy the water.
