We were very fortunate to camp in the Jenkinson loop, #42. Perfect for a class B or smaller. The view from there was lovely with a peek of the lake. However, this is definitely a very busy family camp. Late night parties and loud music. We were supposed to move to another site in the Sierra loop and have decided to cancel. The site that we were supposed to move into, #98, was very close to its neighbors and, we prefer something a little more isolated. Also, the sites are well used and very dusty. Lots of spiderwebs under the tables and not well-maintained.
Dump station easy to use and water was accessible near our campsite.

The water level of the lake is very low, but there’s a nice walk/hike to the waterfall that still had good water flow. Our campsite was good sized for our small trailer and a tent. No hookups, vault toilets, and a back-in dump station at the exit on your way out.
I will say that it looks like many campsites aren’t level. Ours was right by a family campsite which was a little noisy.

We were first timers here and will return. Perfect spot to camp if visiting the nearby Apple Hill area and its plentiful apple orchards, wineries and hard cider breweries. Sly Park is perfect for a November trip when the campground is near-empty, Fall colors are present and wildlife is on stage. We were lucky to witness two bald eagles fly closely above our heads with a freshly caught fish dangling from its talons. Our waterview spot in the Pinecone Campground was large, level and serene. The campground is open year-round, with most of the "back area" campgrounds closed off once it is Winter. On our November visit, the park ranger was making rounds to shut off water, though the pit toilets were still open. No dump fee for registered campers. Great spot for hiking, biking and mountain biking. And terrific for kayakers, especially in off-season when the motorboats are gone.

That’s why it’s so beautiful. No hookups except for water. But the views and lake are spectacular. We have a large setup, so it was tricky for us (59ft). But for a more reasonable rig it should be great.

The campground is broken up into 9 different sections. I love everything from Stonebraker and back. Before that in the pinecone and Sierra areas the sites are a bit sunny and closer together for me. It’s always full though, so people don’t seem to mind it!
It’s very beautiful out there, read carefully about what type of site you are looking for. You’ll be sure to have a great time there!

Came here at the beginning of November as our original destination had unknowingly closed for the season. Arrived on a Thursday and the campground was deserted, which was really nice. A bit surprised at the cost of a premium water site being $50 + $5 pet fee per night, but we had a great view of the lake and the sunsets. Wish the water level was higher, made getting our kayaks in the water difficult as there was a pretty good drop off near most the sites and required a bit of work to get them down to the lake. There are spigots spread around the campground and pit toilets not far away. No showers available and the dump near the entrance was a bit wonky where you need to drive forward then back into the dump location. We had good coverage with our Verizon phones and our T Mobil hotspot worked well.

$20 fee and a VERY UNLEVEL, small, back-in only dump site. Could not empty our tanks because it was so unlevel. We asked and we’re issued a refund, no problem. Staff was very helpful.

No hookups, but dump station is at exit ($20 fee). Stayed here from 11/26 through 11/28. Cold with off-and-on rain. Super quiet during our stay and we were the only ones in the campground. Takes 15 mins to get to the park from HWY 50. Chain grocery store, fast food, fuel, coffee shops and others are nearby at the HWY exit. Roads in campground are paved and narrow - akin to one way. But, passing is possible with patience, skill and some manuevering - just look down the road and through turns. Campground is extremely well maintained. Pitch black at night - seeing the stars again was wonderful. Park and lake were serene during our stay. Pet friendly ($5/day/pet) and leash law applies. Staff and tree maintenance crews were absolutely wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Park patrol rolls through between 7-8AM and 6-8PM. Cell coverage (Verizon) was close to nonexistent. Pics of all sites and description on the utility website were absolutely accurate. Money well spent, and planning our next stay (during off-peak season).
