I’ve been camping here since I was 6 yrs old and it’s been a great experience for me and my family. Recently the last couple of years I noticed they’re not keeping up on the road. You can’t even get back there unless you have a jacked up truck. Places like this need to be kept up there’s no reason for it to be in that condition and I’m going to make sure of it. This is a great place for families to come together and enjoy the outdoors. I absolutely love mountain pond but slush pond is just as good and needs to be kept up.

“Not bad”

Not a bad spot. Mosquitoes were ridiculous, so make sure you have ten citronella candles. The road in is narrow and rough in spots -- very rough in one spot -- and not suitable for big RVs. I'd definitely recommend Mountain Pond over this area, but it's a nice backup if the other is full, since they're right next to each other. Doesn't look well used, so you get more privacy. And don't forget to check out the trails at The VIC, which is less than ten minutes away.
