Overall Rating
Slate Creek is marked when driving east. Driving west it is not far from Holman Camp on route 75. There are four camp sites with fire rings. No picnic tables, no toilets. We stayed at site #2 which is on the river. Route 75 is right across the river which I thought would be a big drawback but the road was not very busy and virtually no traffic at night. Site # 1 and 2 could accommodate a trailer. Sites 3,4 would not work well for trailers. Past site 2 go right for sites 3 and 4. This road is narrow with no turn outs or turn arounds. We explored past site #4 to see if there was any other camping. There isn’t and I wouldn’t suggest driving it. It’s very narrow in spots and rocky." The pin drop is right on site 1.
