I like this place, especially for a 3 or 4 day weekend get away. I like spot 21 cause it's a pull through. I love full hookups. I really love the dog park. Definitely recommend for a get away from Sac.

Our site, RV7, was a pull through that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is very close for a rural park. Each site has a table but ours was a plastic one that was so cracked it was almost not usable.. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was clean and neatly groomed.
The park included wifi serviced one end use per site. The was no cable TV but we were able find some OTA channels. Satellite would not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean.
There are trails from the park as well as a dog park and nature garden.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $65.00 per night and we feel we received fair value considering this is Napa. We will be back if in the area again.

We enjoyed our time here. Definitely recommend sites 40-43 if you like having more space and can live without a sewer hookup. The sites were very large and you could park in any direction/orientation you wanted as long as you stayed between your electrical hookup and the next site’s. We were virtually by ourselves during the week, but it was more crowded on the weekend. There are lots of trails (which sadly don’t allow dogs), a fenced dog run, archery range, disc golf course, showers, etc. It’s a great place to explore the area - definitely more than just a parking lot of RV’s.
We felt perfectly safe and every interaction we had with the park staff was great.
The ATT wireless signal was fine for remote work and steaming, but the Verizon signal was barely passable. T-Mobile also seemed fine.

TL;DR - This place was not for us. Awkward, unlevel sites, plus some very odd vibes. We left after one night.
We took the advice of others on Campendium who said that sites 40-48 were the largest with the best views. All the sites in this area, as compared to those down below that are more in a more typical RV park set-up (i.e., stacked parking lot style and close together), are large sites located on the hill overlooking vineyards. Sites 40-43 are the largest, offer great views of the vineyards, and excellent privacy if you park your rig just right. Sounds great, right? Keep reading...
Our first site was in the 44-48 group, each of which is oddly shaped and each of which backs up to concrete foundations from some long-gone buildings (saw a documentary that said these might have been old chicken coops). Because of these old foundations, we found it hard to fit our 31' travel trailer into the angled spot we were given. We went back to the kiosk to consult the gentleman there. He seemed put out by the question (see, "bad vibes," in the title of this review) and his only advice was that we could pretty much park wherever and however we wanted as long as we didn't block anyone else's site. He said, "As long as you have good levelers, you'll be fine." Well, try as we might, after four different parking configurations in that first spot (sort of like Northeast-Southwest, North-South, East-West, and South-North) including the latter in which we needed to go up on our tongue jack an additional 14" even after being atop 10 leveling blocks, we moved to a different site.
Our next site was on the 40-43 side and we still needed to try several configurations before we could find one that allowed our rig to be anywhere close to level, even with Anderson levelers and all of our leveling blocks under the tongue jack (leaving none for the stabilizers). Once we were parked, we still felt uncomfortable and less than secure, despite the beautiful views out our windows.
None of the sites up here on the hill have sewer hookups, but they all have electricity and water. However, the placement of the utilities is so odd that we didn't even bother to use them. We've got plenty of solar and we filled the fresh tank before we arrived, so why hassle with stretching our electric cable and water hose to their limits?
Adding to the strange feel of the place are the full-time residents who only come out of their "more seasoned" RVs to go to and from work, but whose every possession is literally chained up to a secure locking spot. Is that why they lock the gates of the park at 7:00 pm every night?
After all that time spent parking, worrying about the security of our stuff, and concerns about whether our unlevel trailer was going to go sliding down the hill onto the frisbee golf course, we left early and only stayed one night. To be honest, the vibe of the whole place just didn't feel right to us and it wasn't just the guy in the kiosk. I am sure that the hiking and biking trails here, the horse facilities, and the archery range are all top notch but this place gave us the heeby jeebys.
When we had trouble sleeping we watched a local documentary on the place and learned that Skyline Wilderness Park is built on the site and ruins of the old California State Mental Hospital. Kind of reminded us of Poltergeist where they built a subdivision over a cemetery. We never believed in haunted places before our stay at Skyline Wilderness Park, but we may become believers after our stay there. Which will be our last.

Research where you want to go, I found it a bit overwhelming.

We’ve stayed here three times over the past few years, as we have aging parents living at a large retirement home in Napa. Just booked another visit for this coming April, in fact.
If the location wasn’t so convenient for us, I’d be lukewarm on this campground. The surrounding park is lovely and proximity to everything in Napa is great. Between COVID, unpredictable weather, and problems with our new trailer we’ve needed to make last minute scheduling changes/cancellations a couple times and the staff here has been amazingly helpful. And the rates are reasonable—by Bay Area standards anyway. Those are the good things.
On the flip side, the actual camping experience is nothing special. The sites are very close together, the bathrooms are overused and undercleaned, and it can be noisy and crowded here. I’ll second the earlier reviewer who singled out Site 19 as the best of the bunch, due to its decent length, position at the end of a row, and access to bathrooms, trash, hiking, etc.
For us, the positives continue to outweigh the negatives, and we don’t see any other options nearby that pique our interest. So we’ll continue to make Skyline our home-away-from-home when in this area.

Kind of hard to move in and out of the park with no directions. Map online not very accurate regarding spaces and space location. Leaving we almost turned into the disc golf field. RV spaces not too long. Will have to park tow vehicle along side trailer. A bit difficult to get to park if coming from the north. Leaving park, heading south was easy.
