We stayed here for our first boondocking trip with our bus. 40 foot no problem. It was not level but the location was amazing. Just 30-60 mins from glacier national park entrances. We stayed with two other rigs from our group! It was the end of season and very quiet.

We only took our 32’ fifth wheel in about a mile, because we hadn’t been there before. Found a nice spot, so set up camp then drove back in another 10 miles. Several more spots we could have pulled the camper to without issue. Saw a black bear on the road coming back out and then watched another one across the valley from our campsite.... more

Great views, hiking trails and piece & quiet.

Dirt road in good condition even with a bit of rain. Lots of pullouts starting only a little ways in. The first 4 miles or so are in an old burn scar. If you drive in further there is beautiful forest and good views. If you’re in a bigger rig and worried about getting stuck there is a decently large trailhead with stock area at the end (8ish miles) that should be plenty for you to turn around in. There was a surprising number of cars parked at the trailhead overnight while I was there, kind of weird. Also tons of bear sign likely from grizzlies, careful while cooking!

We ended up in a site just over 2 miles off of Highway 2. It was a pull off site just across the wooden bridge next to the stream. It was beautiful and you could not hear any road noise. We had a couple of vehicles drive by today but hardly any traffic. There are other pull off areas 2.6, 4, 4.6, 5.8 and 6.2 miles from the turn off. Yo... more

You do have to find one of the wider areas in order to turn around. We were in a truck with a 27 foot trailer. There is plenty of sunlight for solar power but no Verizon service at all. There are fire rings in some of those sites. it is Bear country so keep your food and garbage safe.

I drove in on this dirt road twelve miles, taking me deep into the forest. Spectacular area. Many places to camp. Some are in open areas, others are pull-offs on the side of the road. This road takes you back near the Great Bear Wilderness, which is home to the largest population of grizzlies, in the lower 48. Bring bear spray.
Road is subject to the weather. It gets fairly sloppy in spots when it rains.
Beautiful camping spot!
