“3 Pull-Thru RV sites”

This campground consists mostly of walk-in only tent sites. However, it also has three pull-thru RV sites that can accommodate 40+ feet of equipment. The campground itself is kind of nestled into a copse of trees, but only one of the RV pull-thru's has any trees near it. FCFS for any sites that aren't reserved.
There's a pit toilet onsite, and potable water from a hand pump is available. The 50-yard walk down a steeper trail leads to the Platte River Wilderness Area and it's beautiful.
You'll have to negotiate 2 miles of dirt. It's heavily washboarded in a few spots but passable by anything if you go slow.
The campground offers the standard discounts for the National Access Pass.

“Recent fire, three pull through sites”

A couple miles from the highway, washboard road. We didn't camp but wanted to make a review. We hiked. The campground needs some mowing, etc, but there were picnic tables and fire rings. The sites were level. Maybe big enough for a medium rig. The water didn't seem to work. We didn't check the vault toilet. There were a couple portajons. There were also about 3 tent sites up on the hill in the trees with tent pads, picnic tables, and fire rings. A fire went through the canyon last year, so the trail is pretty burnt, but walkable. It rained, so we didn't stay long. I think there was trash. I'm not sure about the cell service. You'd probably get something if you go back towards the highway. Speaking of which, there's a nice free spot just as you cross the cattle guard to go down to the campground.
