Just an overnight stay, but sites were spacious and the campground was well taken care of. We arrived after the campground has closed for the season, so no services, but it was also free! Sites were generally all level and we were nicely tucked in under trees for the night.

Almost all the sites are long and fairly level. This time of year only A loop is open. We were backed up to the meadow and beautiful. Loved watching the deer at night come through the campground and wonder/eat in the meadow.
Thursday night every site was full and I believe it was going to be that way through the weekend according the Host.

We snagged site 3 which had a fairly nice view of the meadow. Our host Crystal couldn’t have been nicer. Vault toilets were clean. Saw a cow moose and baby. The only problem with this campground was the weather. Senior pass discount cut our fee in half and absolutely no cell service through Verizon

I don't think there is a dump station either. Definitely no hookups. Lots of big rigs.

The campground is heavily wooded and adjoins an enormous meadow. We stayed in mid-August 2018 and had no trouble getting a site during the week. Our camp host Tony was very nice and did a great job keeping the area clean. Our site was very level, with a picnic table, a lantern hook, and a fire ring. This is in the midst of the Big Horn National Forest with easy access off the Cloud Peak Scenic Highway (SR 16) and is probably a little closer to Buffalo than Ten Sleep. Needless to say there are hiking trails close by.

I camped here on 9/16 to 9/18. When I went to the iron ranger to pay, it was duct taped over. I asked the camp host what the fee was, and he said that because the water and bathrooms were being shut off that day, camping would be free and that I could stay after the campground officially closed on 9/17. Since I was self-contained, I did not need water or the bathrooms.
Temperatures were in the low 70's during the daytand in the high 30's at night. Sites are well-spaced.. Some folks use generators so pick wisely if you do not like the noise. There is an atv trail suitable for hiking (I saw no atvs). Also, the road from the campground down to Hwy 16 is about 0.8 mile and follows along a stream. Immediately across the road is the North Cove day use area, which has an open bathroom even when the campground's bathroom is closed.
I slept so well here. There were deer everywhere and horses graze in the meadow behind the campground.

This is the second year we stayed at Sitting Bull Campground. We stayed in a campsite on the upper loop that looks out on the meadow. It was late June and the wild flowers where in full bloom. There are multiple hiking trails from camp as well as ATV trails. We fished the stream coming out of the lake across the highway and caught many trout. It's a 30 minute drive to Ten Sleep for groceries and there is a very good brewery just outside of town. It's a large campground with many spots for big rigs (ours is 36 ft) and the camp hosts keep the pit toilets very clean.
The down side is there is NO cell service until your almost into Ten Sleep. The library is open limited hours but the city park has nice picnic tables and good cell reception.

This is one of the most peaceful Forest campgrounds we've stayed in. The campground has large Ponderosa pines throughout and each site is wooded, level, and has really nice picnic tables and fire areas. The campsites are well spaced and most back to a beautiful meadow that is great for wildlife viewing. We saw large elk and a mama moose and calf at dusk. There are trails through the meadow that lead to another lake, but it was open bow season and we were advised to not go without an orange vest. The lake down the street is quaint and appears to have good fishing. The pit toilets are spotless and the campground is well maintained by the hosts. It was a great overnight stop on our way through the Bighorns. The only downside is that there is zero verizon cell signal in the area, but we didn't miss it.
