I read several reviews on Silver Springs made the trip down glad we did. Great spots Large Spaced Out Full Hook Ups. The One suggestion worth repeating Campground NOT at Main Entrance. Is around the corner and a mile or so down the road.

Was about 2.5 miles from park to park on sidewalks. Very peaceful.

The shower/restrooms: Out of the 80 or so campgrounds we have visited in the past 3 years this one is top of the list. Now your average rest room is clean but if you really want to get picky you’ll see spider webs in the skylights or near the ceiling and a few bugs flying or crawling around. The whole week of our stay, every time I used this facility, I felt like I was the first person to use a brand new shower. Even the shower curtain looked new. The water pressure was awesome & the hot/cold shower adjustment was spot on (no need to play with it forever while freezing or scalding yourself). There are laundry facilities, but we didn’t use them.
The sites have your typical fire ring, picnic table, and grilling stand. Located 5 or 10 minutes around the corner is the famed Silver Springs Glass Bottom boat tour which is part of the State Park but a separate entrance.

We booked this spot 11 months in advance when Florida released it for the following season. We had full hookups and a HUGE campsite. The campground has a mix of water and electric and fhu sites, but all were pretty large and private. A washer and dryer is available at the bath house and everything was kept very clean. Firewood can be purchased at the ranger station.
In addition to great campsites, the park is awesome. There’re a handful of hiking trails accessible from the campground and you can launch your own or rent a kayak at the other side of the park. Overall, we had a fantastic time and already booked a spot for next winter.
Cell service was good with both AT&T and Verizon for remote work, streaming, and video conferencing.

Beautiful Florida campground with 60 sites, many pullthrus. The sites are huge with lots of space and privacy. Lush surroundings. Water, electricity, fire pit, grill and picnic table on level gravel sites.
The bathhouse is modern, clean, good sized. They have family showers too. Nice laundry facility. There is an environmental museum and a Pioneer Village and the grounds.
Campgrounds are next to the Silver Springs where you have to take the glass bottom boat tour. $10 pp for seniors. You can also kayak the Springs but watch out for gators! The grounds on the Springs and campground have great trails.

The campground at Silver Springs State Park is so nice. The sites are large and widely spaced so you have plenty of green space between camps. SS has quite a few pull-thru sites, and ours (#15) and many others were set up so you looked to the woods and not the road. Our site was very shady with tall oaks. Our friends in #7 had more sun & less shade. The bathrooms were super clean & the showers have heat lamps.
We had no problem finding the campground (others mentioned going to the park by accident), and the rangers and hosts were very friendly & helpful. We had to search for the dumpsters (they are by the bathhouse and not the dump station).
Several sites have sewer (ours did) so check before you book.
Just had to come back here to say how much we LOVED the paddling down Silver River. Truly a beautiful Florida place to be!

I was very impressed with how nicely managed this campground is. *This isn't the private RV park, right across from the glass-bottomed boat tour entrance. This is the State Park campground, which is a mile or two down the road from the touristy day-visitors' area. This campground has big sites - many are pull-through. We got lucky and scored one of the sites with full H/U. Super convenient, but we also used the bath houses and they were very clean. *If you're a camper here, you need a vehicle to get a couple of miles to the Silver Springs that comes to mind - it's in a different location from the campground and it's not walking distance. But your camper tag gets you in for free - so bring it along! Inside that area, you can pay $14 for a glass-bottomed boat tour. Or you can just wander around for free and enjoy the flowers and spring views. There's also a great area where you can very reasonably rent a kayak, canoe or paddleboard. (I rented, because it was easier than bringing my own equipment over in my Class C - but if you BYO boat and you're a camper, you don't even have to pay the $4 launch fee). You'll see turtles galore and alligators and maybe even wild monkeys. Back to the campground. The sites are level and they're truly gravel - not dirt. It's very dark at night, which was wonderful. And it's filled with birds in the morning. You do hear a bit of highway noise, but it's nothing aversive. It's just not a completely silent area, due to the one road a mile up at the entrance. Nice Rangers - EXTREMELY easy check-in (they didn't make me park my rig and get out... I don't know why some places do that... just hand me a map, please, and let's move on).
