“Wonderful campground in the aspen trees!”

We started over Owl Creek Pass on September 22, 2020, and camped at Silver Jack Campground. The campground is meticulously maintained, and we found a nice level site surrounded by aspen trees. Looking to get away from crowds? Silver Jack may be your answer. I can get a little nervous about first-come, first-serve campgrounds over holidays, but there was no reason to worry at this campground, even on the 4th of July there were still spots available. Forest Service campground with paved roads and pads. We brought our 27 foot travel trailer in from the north on FS 858 off of US 50. About 20 miles of good gravel road except for the last 2 miles, which were wash boarded and slow. Heard the road from the east over Owl Creek pass was much worse.
