I have car camped here several times. Both trips I had cows walking through the campsite in the evening. Largest rig I saw was a 20 foot travel trailer. All sites or along side Shingle Creek, if you end up fishing, please practice catch and release, there is a small population of Bonneville cutthroat in the creek.

Pretty steep entrance to get here. Arrived on a Saturday night and only one area wasn't already taken. You are camping below the highway so that noise competes with the flowing creek. No Sprint or T-Mobile. Verizon minimal.

If coming from the East, Google or Apple Maps will have you get off of I70 too early and it will take you 15 minutes to get here; however leaving took us less than 5 to get back on I70.

Dirt road that had one steep section but it dropped into a nice area with 4-5 spots. Only downside was some freeway noise but not bad.

This is a great camping spot if you can get the big site (furthest up the canyon). Plenty of shade right next to the creek. You can easily get two or three large campers and still have space for multiple tents. The ground is soft for stakes. Plenty of tall grass. You fill very secluded even though the freeway is not far from the site. The cell service was really spotty for me but my friend had great service and could stream content. Both of us have Verizon.
There are two other sites. The first one you reach has tons of shade and soft ground. Easily two large campers and multiple tents can get in to it. The down side is during a moist year, there is a foot wide stream that sometimes runs right down the center of the site. This site is also a little more narrow and long.
The third site, is almost an extension of the main site. There is a fire pit but no shade. This third site was used each night we were there by random people just passing through but needed a quick nights rest.
