It’s not close to anything so have all your supplies when you arrive. The closest convenience store and gas station is 11 miles away. The sites are mostly level and have full hookups. The only negative was the amount of flies on the property. But that’s expected when there are horses. Very quiet.

After turning off of HWY 23 you will travel for about 4 miles on a gravel/dirt road with the last 0.5 miles being a bit wash-boarded. The drive in is most definitely worth the stay.
Check-in is easy as all you need to do is text the designated phone number. The host was very responsive and helpful as well.
The sites are level and spacious. We booked site #1 and it was surrounded by trees as it is a corner site. The design of the campground is big rig friendly as all sites are pull-through. It's a very quiet campground and there isn't much traffic noise.
The park is designed to also host horses. There are corrals that surround the campground that can be rented for use. They have a few restrooms, a laundry room with a washer and dryer for $2.00 each, and miscellaneous items (firewood, ice, and merchandise) for purchase.
We would stay here again, however, cellular service is important for our everyday functionality and we didn't have much luck getting any. Wi-Fi is not offered at this campground.

I don’t know where to start, my wife and I live on the road for work and this was our first outing in our new home on wheels. I don’t know where to start, my wife and I live on the road for work and this was our first outing in our new home on wheels.
From our 43ft fifth wheel to our 7x16 enclosed trailer to our motorcycles we take up space. Jody (co-owner/manager) has been nothing short of amazing; my wife works nights and Jody even adjusted her mowing schedule to make sure that she wouldn’t disturb her. To me that’s a level of customer service that just doesn’t exist anymore and it is only one example.
The only two drawbacks on this for long term residents like us are the laundry facilities and the access road. I don’t have an issue with gravel but their county guy needs a class on running his grader, again nothing the owners can do about it but inconvenient. As for the laundry they are in the process of building a second shower building and I assume they will expand there.
I will say as our three month stay draws near the end we will miss this place and we will not hesitate to return here if ever called back this way again for work. My only regret is that we can only rate it with 5 stars.

A lot of people with horses but there were many without horses also. The grasslands are very pretty and rural, we hiked a couple times and really enjoyed it. Easy pull through spots. The sewer at our site was a little too high. Got to see a lot of pretty horses! It’s 45 mins to Fargo. Good rural camp!

Sheyenne Oaks is 1.2 miles north of the Sheyenne Grasslands. The sites are all pull through with bench and fire pit. Horse corals are around the perimeter but any smells are very limited. Each site as full hook ups with 50A, 30A, and 120V outlets. Bathrooms on site are private include a shower and toilet. Extremely pleasant to stay.
