Yes, this is correct. It’s a gravel parking area just up the hill from the welcome center. GPS takes you right there. Then look for the unpaved “driveway” on your left to access the parking area.

Google maps doesn't know what to call this GPS waypoint other than it lies within the Albany County School District. You can get to it via the old road or via the exit at Summit Information Center (where Lincoln sculpture is located).
