Sherman County RV Park

My wife and I were looking for an overnight stay to clean and flush our white water tank, shower up and do laundry. This place fit that bill to a T! Super clean bathrooms and laundry facility. Hardly anyone here after Labor Day, only a couple long-term rigs. Bonus for us was to walk the grounds at the adjacent Fairgrounds with our dog - such a treat. Views of Mt. Hood leaking above rolling plains of wheat. Felt like we were in the heartland!

Arrived mid afternoon without a reservation but camp host texted availability. Price is now $20/nite with FHU. Bathrooms are very clean and did not use showers, but look nice. 30 amp hookup in middle row. There are plenty of 50 amp as well. Very few campers here after Labor Day. There are wasps flying around, but each site seems to have a wasp catching bag..maybe need more water in them? Based on tree growth, looks like an ongoing westerly wind, but sited are congruent with the wind, so no unusual buffeting. Go past the fairgrounds to the campground. Good Wifi: 12.5 Mbps download and 10.4 upload.

We decided to stop here based on the great reviews we read here. We’re so glad we did! The campground is on a hill with great views of the surrounding golden fields. Our site was pull through, perfectly level, quiet and had full hookups, for $20.00/night. Without hookups it’s $10.00/night. We were so impressed with the sparkling clean bathrooms! The women’s even had hand cream and and lovely big spider plant! We didn’t try the laundry but would imagine it’s equally well maintained. Wifi was the strongest we’ve had in any campground on our month long trip through the US. Manager Omar is extremely kind, friendly and helpful. There are some long stay RVs here but we didn’t see them as a detriment as they are quiet and well maintained, and there’s still lots of room for people travelling through. The little town of Moro doesn’t have many services but we understand there are some great restaurants within east driving distance. We would highly recommend planning your driving distances to make this great campground a destination along the way.

This is a safe, clean, quiet overnight stopover (not a destination, nor advertised as one - rating reflects this). Like other reviewers, we found same-day after hours check-in to be easy and clearly explained, prices reasonable, and restroom facilities exceptionally clean. We were on our way home from a longer trip and decided not to drive all the way through, found this last-minute and were very happy. We would stop overnight here again in a heartbeat. We had cell coverage though I didn't note the details. Decent WiFi (free!).

Stayed two nights in my Campervan. Peaceful agricultural area overlooking town of Moro with small grocery store and museum. $10 to dry camp, $20/25 for full hookups. Clean modern restrooms, showers and dump $3 if you're not staying. Laundry $1.50/1.50 Park peaceful and quiet! About 20mins to Columbia river and highways. WiFi and strong cell service.

Sites aren’t completely level and sites would feel close to each other IF there were a lot of folks here. However, for a $20 overnight stop with hookups, this location was perfect. The place is clean. After-hours registration is available and easy to understand. The campground is well away from Hwy 97 and associated traffic noise. Wifi was reportedly available but we didn’t use it - full service available with AT&T at least.

Since others have noted the host was friendly and helpful, I will chalk our stay as "everyone has a bad day sometimes". This day, the host seemed put out, like he needed to get back to something more important than helping a guest. Otherwise, as noted before, bathrooms were very clean and our site had easy, level, access. A very reasonable stop, especially considering the price for full hookups.
