Sheep Mountain Overlook

Was here in the beginning of April 24’ and had the whole place to myself. Windy at times. Good Verizon service. Probably hot as hell in the summer.

Sheep’s mountain overview is located about 4 miles down a dirt road. The road is not for the faint of heart in places. The road can have washboard in places. But if you keep your speed around 30 MPH it’s not bad. Once you hit the hill you might find a spot that has some big ruts. At the overlook road you should drive on the grass in places to avoid the heavy side tilt. Or you can plow a new path off to the left and make a new spot along the wall. Since it’s all grass and un compacted ground make sure you know the capability of your rig. Avoid any green spots because that indicates water and a soft spot you can get stuck in.
There are sheep and other animals up there. I didn’t go to the end of the main road so I can’t say what’s there.
There is a spot near the bottom of the hill that you can turn around on or camp if you like. For the most part it’s a camp anywhere you like kind of a deal. No fires. No shooting. No hunting.
