I was the only camper for the night. Grass sites with power and water. The staff gave me the code for the gate lock to let myself in and out. There was a bathroom but it was locked up. I heard a few trains go by but it didn't keep me awake. Had a very good dinner at Vittles restaurant in Anderson.

Super friendly staff, easy in and out. Water and good electric. $30. Did not use restroom facilities.
Only down side is train noise at night, which unfortunately is common along I5 in NorCal.

We stayed here in Anderson after our 6 days in Lava Beds NM & Lassen Natl Park with little signal and no electric. We looked around the Redding area and found most places were expensive ($50-60) or they were basically a little dumpy trailer park (Yuk!) We normally always check local county fairgrounds as many of them have well maintained facilities and "no crowds". Nice people here to work with, was escorted to our site, a nice grassy site and electric and water for $30 or you can dry camp for $20 per night. They have a dump station on site, but we didn't need to use it. We are fully self contained so we didn't need to use the restroom facilities either. Saturday Night Races till 11pm at the track to finish out the season. Very close to town we were able to do our laundry and visit the local Walmart for groceries. If you are a self contained unit... what else do you need? There is a nearby train noise, but we only heard it in the evening before 10pm a few times. Didn't bother us at all. And for security... the facility gates are locked at night after 9pm (except race night) and we were given the code if we needed to leave or get in after hours.... We also visited Whiskeytown National Recreation Area & Lake Shasta not that far away.

Great customer service all around. The sites are on the grass and it was pretty wet so we were allowed to park on the road. The pedestals were also in water so that caused some apprehension but it all worked out.
