Our scoring is considering how Shady Rest compares with the many other sites we have stayed at during our 3-month long journey. It is a nice campground. Our scoring is considering how Shady Rest compares with the many other sites we have stayed at during our 3-month long journey. It is a nice campground. I were to travel along this northern Montana highway, I would stop again at Shady Rest for an overnight pause. The camp's accommodations are basic and good. The restrooms/shower building is very basic, but better than a pioneer camp, with privacy limitations inside (curtains vs. doors, etc. I understood that it used to be primarily a mobile home campground, which is being repurposed into an RV campground, and they are making progress towards their goal. There were trees between most of the sites for some shade. grass patches between sites was about 6-feet each. Site surfaces were gravel/dirt, fine during the dry time we visited, with good drainage to the town street system. We were satisfied.

Drove in and out! Very run down mobile home park NOT a campground. Can't comment on any thing other than the appearance and Campground Roads. Went to the other side of the street behind the hotel. Have no idea why the previous reviews are so high.

The owners were helpful and kind. The rates reasonable. The spaces are clean slightly damaged picnic table but nice trees for shade. I would stay here again.

Shady Rest is a small but classic RV park run by a lovely young family that are a big part of the community in Glasgow, Montana. It’s not fancy but very comfortable and quiet with very nice clean bathroom and showers plus laundry room. Shady Rest is a small but classic RV park run by a lovely young family that are a big part of the community in Glasgow, Montana. It’s not fancy but very comfortable and quiet with very nice clean bathroom and showers plus laundry room. After a flat tire 20 miles east of Glasgow was quickly fixed by Josh, a local tow truck operator, he recommended Shady Rest. Lots of people staying there and they were all very nice. Just like America should be.

It was a great place to camp for our needs. Buying gas and hauling “word” we enjoyed this experience as it is safe, clean as whistle and the owners are nice!
