“Quiet campground with plenty of access to the lake”

Overall Rating

Campground looks like it was designed for mostly tent camping as a lot of the sites are less than 40 feet. Our site fit our 28 foot trailer but we had to park the truck elsewhere. Walking around the loops, several site fire rings and tables were located some distance from the site area. Some down a fairly steep slope. Again, if you're tent camping this works better than if you are in a trailer or RV. There are composting toilets and garbage cans all over, which is nice, but there was no water available due to their well failing. A new well is underway so water should be available next camping season.

No hook ups.
There is no cell service in this campground.
Mosquitoes are an issue for most of the summer, but I'm told that once you're out on the lake, they disappear.

It's a very popular campground for folks who kayak or paddle board. The lake is truly beautiful and the lack of ambient light makes the night sky incredible.
