We were in the Valley on a birding trip and this park was conveniently located for that.

There were a number of issues. At first, seemingly minor things. No hot water, gas for the heater, and stove went out (in January). These things got fixed fast enough.
Then things just got worse. We were here for only a month attempting to convert our van in peace. We have 2 dogs, around 50 pounds. They are well behaved and very friendly.
We saw dogs off-leash here, so we figured it would be OK if there was no actual issue. Our dogs socialized. I've never had an actual issue with them and someone else's pet.
Of course, someone complained. I tried to be cordial, write a note asking what the nature of the complaint was and what we could do to remedy the problem. I left my phone number and email since the person seemed to want to be anonymous.
The lady behind the desk wasn't particularly friendly. She knew what lot we were in but was pretending she didn't (seemed strange).
After a couple of days, we don't hear anything back until Kathy, the manager comes up. She tells us that our dogs have to be on leashes, even though other dogs aren't. I ask her what the actual problem is and she said that the person said "your dogs came up to my dogs." After that, she wasn't interested in listening and became hostile. She walked away yelling at us that "we were trying to cause problems." Not sure what problem we caused.
Really? That's it? My dogs sniffed another dog and now we're getting yelled at by the management?
Not what I call dog friendly.
There were other restrictions and rules that seemed to be very selectively applied here. None of these rules were made clear in the Airbnb description of house rules or anywhere on the initial description.

We had reservations two months prior to arrival so check-in was easy. The only bad thing is that they do not accept charge cards. (The rate listed above is a monthly rate.) Most of the residents are Winter Texans and stay here for several months in either a park model rental or their own units. Planned activities are fun and abundant. Heated swimming pool and hot tub are clean and enjoyable. Laundry machines are aged but work OK and the cost is reasonable. Dog friendly and includes a park for the four legged companions. Not much shade and most days are too breezy for an awning, but I am not complaining. This park is safe and friendly and I would definitely recommend a stay here in the Rio Grande Valley.

We generally don't camp at RV Parks, but there aren't any other options in Mission, TX. That said, we found our stay at Seven Oaks RV Park to be quite pleasant.
Everyone was VERY friendly. This park has activities every day and night. The day we arrived there was a music performance, followed the next day by a non-denominational church service, followed by a Valentines dinner and sock-hop.
There weren't a lot of other overnighters while we were here, so we seemed to be on everyone's radar. One couple in their early 60's told us they used to be the youngest people there until we arrived. I learned after we left that Seven Oaks is a 55+ park. They didn't mention it when I made my reservation or when we checked in. So I guess they might be lenient on the rules if you don't have kids.
There's a pool and a jacuzzi which we didn't use and a laundry room which we did. The dryers take at least 45 minutes (3 quarters).
The wifi was terrible, but they say it's getting fixed next week. On the plus side, I was able to get CBS This Morning on over-the-air HTDV.
