Dump station with a seperate water fill at entrance. Bathroom is old, poorly placed so it was very far away for us, and too small for the number of people. It did have 2 shower stalls that were free (didn't use). Small store with a craft/rec room attached and a playground. Saturdays look like a refugee camp with so many campers squeezed together. A few trails and nice views of the lake (and nuclear power plant which kinda ruins the view). I would not consider this a destination for camping but rather a decent overnight stop. Good Verizon coverage.

We picked this location to take our dog out in our RV the first time. It was a quick drive from home and had availability when we needed it. We stayed at site 62, which we chose because it was a wide site but when we got there it seemed to be the same size as most of the others in the loop. We were told that there had been complaints in our loop earlier in the day about noise, but if we wanted to move they would let us. There wasn't a problem at all with noise the whole weekend. (Just lots of kids being kids.) But it was nice to know we had the option if we needed it! The sites are close together with little privacy. We were hoping there would at least be some trees, but nope. The site itself was clean and well kept. The bathhouse was clean and a short walk from our camper. The trails were beautiful and well kept and the people we interacted with were friendly. With the exception of the lack of privacy, it was a good stay.

The trailer tongue is nearly on the ground. Our site is right next to the camp store. As with most NY state park, sites have electric only, at least in this loop, with water filling stations available. The park has mature trees and big, grassy spaces. There is no privacy such as trees or shrubs between sites. A playground is nearby. Our site is on the water, but there is a grassy area with a volleyball net between us and the water. We don’t have much of a water view due to trees, but there is a wonderful, cool breeze and great wave sounds! We stayed 2 nights.

We booked late in the season for a spot over Labour Day weekend. As such, we were lucky to get a serviced site at all but we're quite shocked at the small size of the site. Getting backed in was challenging, particularly since our neighbours to the right we using a good 1/3 of our site space. We managed and got comfortable in our surroundings.
We were on Loop A and, in our opinion, the bathhouse facilities, while clean and tidy, could certainly use a facelift.
Firewood was conveniently available at the main gate and sold in 4 sizes:
1/2 cart - $8.00
Full cart - $16.00. Both of these options were at "get your own" from the park entrance to your site.
1/4 cord - $24.00
1/2 cord - $48.00 and with either of these options, the wood is delivered to your site. Noteworthy, the wood was VERY wet and a fire challenging to get going. We had well seasoned cedar kindling with us that made the task a bit easier.
There were gorgeous walking paths, large grassy areas, a lovely beach (sandy with a rocky shoreline) and a camp store / kids area / game room.
We would return if we were able to manage reserving one of the gorgeous and spacious waterfront sites.
All in all a lovely weekend.

“A gem on the shore of Lake Ontario – lovely park, friendly staff, excellent hiking/biking trails, boating, fishing, beach access – this park deserves more than the one night we had to give it!”

We only had one night at Selkirk Shores State Park and we really wished we had been able to stay longer. We pulled in on a Sunday afternoon without reservations and the super friendly, helpful office staff hooked us up with a prime waterfront site. We also asked if it was ok to pull in, rather than back in, to take advantage of the view and they were fine with that.
The campground has 148 campsites, 88 w/ electric (20 amp only) and 26 rental cabins. Amenities include showers, bathrooms, rec building, playground and a camp store. The grounds are clean and well maintained. There are lots of large mature trees to provide shade, although there isn’t much vegetation/privacy between sites. Sites have adequate separation and are grass with a concrete patio, picnic table, fire ring, and 20amp electric in the section we stayed in (C loop - #107). Pulling in gave us a beautiful view of Lake Ontario and the absolutely spectacular sunset.
The day use area has covered picnic shelters, grills, and beach access (swimming is limited to Fri/Sat/Sun). There is paved path from the C-loop to the beach, but what we really loved was the extensive system of hiking/biking trails in the park. The trails are well marked with maps posted at major intersections, in great condition, and multi-use – so you can hike, bike or cross country ski (weather permitting Lol). We hiked for hours, rarely covered the same territory twice, and still left several areas unexplored. We saw deer, hawks, a woodchuck and lots of busy squirrels and chipmunks.
We had 3 bars of Verizon 4G unboosted. This is definitely a park I’d be happy to visit again!
