We stayed in site 8 which is a water view spot. Great spot. No shade, but if you have an awning why would you stay in another spot. Great sunsets! Horrible “no see ums”! That’s the only downside. Hard to enjoy wine and a sunset for very long due to them.
Overall great spot for a beach location.

We did not stay at the state park but at the marina which is part of the state park. There are 9 tent sites and we throughly enjoyed this small campground. The sites are large for tents. You do not park in the site but very close. Not a problem. All the sites are shaded under big live oaks. One drawback is there is no shower but the restrooms are fine. One huge plus was a big covered and screened deck overlooking the marina. Electric was available on the deck to charge phones etc. Since this is part of the state park you will have free access to the other parts of the park. Across highway 1 are trails to the beaches and there are several nature preserves for hikes. There are off road bike and hiking trails from the marina. It’s 10 miles to a Publix and there are not many restaurants. The only restaurant nearby is the Surfside by the fishing pier. Word of warning—we ate breakfast there and it was the worst ever! It was not cheap either.

Overall this is one of the best FL state parks we have visited. Watch for signs on Rt A1A, the turn to campground is just south of the bridge. We were in the back row (site 36), against the trees. The back row provides more room and trees between the sites. The sites closer to the inlet are closer together and have few trees. Check-in required me to park and go into the ranger station. Electric and water were well maintained. The bathroom, showers and washer/dryer were clean and working. Park was quiet with no road noise.
Fishing and boating are the main activities here. Requires about a 15 mile drive to get to a bridge and the mainland. Some No-see-ums at night even in January so be prepared.
3-4 bars of AT&T service, RSRP was -104, boosted to -68, easily stream-able.
About 20 HDTV channels were in range.

Teeming with birds, fish, dolphins and fishermen attempting to pass through during a flood tide. The park is simple but clean with elect and water. If you get the front row you-are treated with lovely sunset views along with the steady inlet boat activity. Lots of photographers come her to catch the pelicans and other birds diving for fish with great success.
We spent the month of Feb in FL and Sebastian Inlet was a favorite stop.

But a bad day fishing is still better than ______. (Fill in your own description). Great Beaches if you Surf, rated best in Florida. Visited Family so had a good time with them. Enjoyed our stay & lots of good neighbors to make it more enjoyable. Water was out 1 evening but the Park Workers were right on it & repaired quickly. Also 1 dryer was out but repaired next day. they do keep on top of issues there.
The sites close to water are a bit closer together, especially the 'older' area. newer area more space between sites.
My 4 stars for Noise was due to road behind Camper. Daily Traffic due to Boat Launch past site. Easy to get used to but it is still there.
Will be back.

If you don't have an EMS expect to be replacing your AC and residential fridge sooner than you would have. As a plus, the pedestal outlets are so worn that you may find yourself replacing your power cord because the connector decided to melt.
If fishing is your game, then you don't want to pass this place by. There is shore fishing in the inlet as well as surf fishing on the beach. A bait shop is located just across the bridge from the campground.
Sites vary in terms of how much room they have and the amount of privacy. For the largest most private sites you will want to be back against the mangroves (about sites 35-49 or so). If you want a water view then you will be closer to neighbors and along the park road. If you do stay by the mangroves be aware that the raccoons are hungry and out foraging all day long.
There are other activities at the park. The beach is a short walk from the campground and has some nice sand, though the surf may be too rough for swimming. The portion of the state park across the inlet from the campground has a lagoon that provides protected swimming. There is also a restaurant with live music on Friday in that section of the park.
The highway (A1A) beside the state park has a sidewalk that is convenient for bike riding, though riding north requires crossing the bridge which is sketchy. There's not much hiking in the park, but there are some nice trails in Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge about five miles south of the park.

This state park offers a beautiful view of the inlet. That said, there isn't a lot of space between the campsites. We arrived late in the afternoon, so we've not yet explored the park. According to one camper, there has been no hot water in one of the bathhouses for a week. Since we don't use them, I can't confirm that.
