Check in was effortless, and staff were very friendly. There is a $20 (CDN) deposit for a key-card for the entry gate, returnable at checkout. A majority of sites are occupied by permanent residents. Transient sites are grouped close together in the center, with heavy shade. Sites are 2-way, 3-way or unserviced. Has all the amenities including a couple of playgrounds for the kiddos and several large, open fields for those who like to run or walk dogs. For some reason garbage needs to be placed in clear plastic bags, which the office will provide. The only negative is the railroad, which is across the road from the entrance. Noise from the trains isn't too bad, but when the engineer blows his horn it nearly lifted me out of my chair! (This happens several times a day.) Grocery stores are in Truro, about 25 KM away. The Campground is clean and well-maintained.

Scotia Pine Campground was the perfect place to explore the Bay of Fundy Tidal Bore and Burntcoat Head Provincial Park. It is also convenient to shopping, gas, etc. The transient campers have their own area, a long row of long pull-through sites. There was nice shade from large trees. The seasonal camper sections are separated from the transient campers by large areas of green space. I appreciate that the campground has security 24/7 in the form of an entrance bar that requires a token from the office to operate. The individual campsites are pretty typical of most RV parks with a picnic table and fire ring but not much separation from neighbors. $48/night reflects the American exchange rate. I didn't make a note of the Verizon speed, but it was good.

We stopped here on our way from Halifax to PEI because there is a tidal bore rafting company near the campground. We called just a couple days before and got reservations easily. Check in was quick, they accepted our good Sam and had it not been July or August would have taken Passport America. We were given 2 small clear trash bags and told all trash needs to be in clear bags. They have a very extensive recycling station so we only used one.
It is a clean campground with lots of pull through sites. The sites are long, but might be snug for some people, we have definitely been in tighter. We were in #80 which was at the end of the row. Trees separated the sites which offer shade, but not extra privacy. We had full hookups, cable (we didnt hookup to the cable), and free wifi that was decent for campground wifi. Our AT&T gave us 3 bars of 4G LTE on the ROGERS network. There are showers that cost a quarter, but that's more for the tents since rv sites have sewer. Laundry and a swimming pool, as welll as multiple playgrounds. All the facilities were clean and the park was well cared for. The only real con would be this is it seems like a bit of a party park. Nothing outrageous, but not a peaceful get away kind of park. Live music on the weekend, very busy come Friday night, quiet time starts at midnight. This isn't a con for everyone, we weren't bothered. We would come back if passing through.
