The campground is not on the water. There are a couple ponds on the peninsula. Jones Pond would be the best. Sea kayaking is very exposed and best for experienced sea kayakers. The closest launch is up the road at Winter Harbor. The ocean is also very cold. In the 40s at this time of year. Dry suit would be best. About 25-30 miles away there are some lovely ponds to check out. I'm not sure about the best sea kayaking launch spots as we prefer to go a bit west of here for more island to visit.
