First of all, the campsites themselves are great. They are well spaced, graveled and level. There are 20 total sites but the camp host occupies #20. The camp host is very friendly and even offered to help us back into our site. The bathhouse is fairly new and very clean. There are no mature trees in the camp, but there are many recently planted trees between the camp sites. The walking trails around the lakes are paved and wide and the scenery the trails offer is beautiful. There is a nice kids' playground and dog walking park with an obstacle course. But that's where the niceties end. The campground is down a dusty road and located behind a warehouse area. The Rules and Regulations are not followed. The campground is filled with workers who are apparently long term residents. The rules state that camping units should be on designated campsites only, yet the sites on both sides of our site had 2 campers on the site side-by-side. One of those sites even had an enclosed utility trailer parked in front of the 2 campers, so our view out our dining and living windows was of 3 trailer units, a truck, and a motorcycle. The rules also state that pets should always be on a leash, but some of the long-term residents let their dogs run free when they get home from work, and we even got to witness one of the free dogs use the restroom beside our picnic table while the owner watched. Thankfully we just stopped for one night passing though the area. The campground would be much more appealing with only one camper per site and pet owners who actually are made to follow the rules. We will find another campground if we are ever back in the area.
