Good location between Amarillo and Canyon. Quiet as compared to most parks near the major highways. Owners are still building up but the spots are large and not too hard to pull through. I recommend going to the back of the park and pointing your rv near the exit if you have a big long rig that is board to maneuver. I have a teardrop and it's like an ant in these spots. We did have to let tue owners know we would need the shower facilities and wish they had a quick access lick on the door so the owner doesn't have to drive over amd open it. Not convenient for him or the RVer. We stayed three days and it was quiet and we could see the Persiad Meteor shower clearly since the location is outside the city lights. The fences block most of the wind and the spots are fairly level and we didn't have to do much to level our trailer. We would definitely come back.

This is a small quiet RV park but just what we needed for the week. It was easy to find, just go past the dead end sign and then take a right. Most sites are pull through and are large. It was slightly difficult pulling out of the park due to tight turns, but we have had worse. Each site has a nice privacy fence and a little patch of grass. Our dog loved having his own little yard for the week. The spot was full hookups and had a dumpster on site. There is no laundry room, even though it is listed as an amenity on campendium. I went to "Tornado Laundromat" 1914 SE 10th Ave, Amarillo, TX 79102 and it was very nice! Large machines and very helpful staff. You can pay with credit cards there. The rv park is only about 15 min from Palo Duro Canyon and was a very easy and peaceful drive. If you are coming to visit the park make sure you pay attention to trail closures, in the spring they often close due to rain. The only cons of this stay were the dogs next-door to the park...they liked to bark at everything. Other than that this is a very nice place.
T mobile- Worked great all week
Starlink- Wasn't needed but had clear access to the sky

Found this through Passport America and was very pleased. Rural area but only 15 min from downtown Amarillo and close to Palo Duro. Newer campground with BIG plans. Site was level with full hookups and plenty of room. Owner was very personable and responsive.

One of the seasonal campers did not leash their beagle and it scared my yorkie pretty bad the first night. I tried calling the owner but he did not respond until hours later that day. So the response time was not good but after we spoke I felt like the problem would be solved. Good wifi signal.

I am a FT traveler in my 5th wheel for 7 years now taking ICU contracts as a travel nurse along with my faithful friend, Roadie, the adventurous Lab. We have been at this brand new park, Scenic Valley RV Park for a little over 40 days now and its absolutely one of the best parks Ive ever stayed in. Its 15 minutes from the medical complex in Amarillo and that's even with the complex being on the opposite side of the city. All the restaurants and shopping I want on my nights off are quickly accessed, but its quiet out where the park is. I'll tell you, there is a train crossing a mile and a half away but its not that bad. However, I'll add, If you are sensitive to noise, you might think its too loud and want to choose a different park. I work nights and sleep days and its very peaceful out here. There are no barking dog problems I've noticed. Almost all of us have pets but everyone seems to be very responsible with them. I actually saw the two women who left the previous review (it's part of the reason I'm leaving this review because I found some of their assessment unfair) walking their dogs out behind the park in the undeveloped pasture, and yes there are thorns out there. I should have warned them. I've had no problems with Roadie because we stay inside the park on the big park grass and driveways and my personal lawn. I like how wide the spaces are- enough for my RV, truck and a visitor, easily. I have had two cookouts in my back-in space with fellow nurses and loved the privacy from the fencing! I'm planning to more then likely re-up my contract with the hospital and that's partly due to how much I love the park! Steven and his crew are out here every day improving the park. It's still raw and new but every week I see something new and really nice!

I can't say enough great things about the owners - they're just the kindest people, and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was great for our entire stay. Booking and making a deposit via the email form on their website was fast and easy.
They've really planned and constructed this park (so far, as it's still in development) with RVers' comfort in mind - privacy fences between the sites, your own little grass area (so convenient if you have dogs like we do!), and said eventually there will be walking trails, laundry, etc. So many cute, thoughtful touches throughout. The location is convenient to Palo Duro Canyon, Amarillo, and other area attractions without all the traffic and cramped sites of the city campgrounds. The sunsets were GORGEOUS.
The only issues we had with our stay were mostly out of their control, so I don't want to blame them at all, but are worth mentioning to those considering a stay:
There were lots of thorns on the bare ground that got stuck in our dogs' feet and the bottom of our shoes. We drove 15 min to a city park in Canyon (Southeast Canyon Park) a couple days to take a longer walk on grass and pavement instead. The owner said it'll be much better when they clear more ground and add some walking trails.
The train whistles from the double tracks across the street can get pretty loud, depending on the direction of the wind. Two trains blowing their horns at once happened a few times in the middle of the night and woke us. When the wind blew toward us it was far louder than other times, when we barely noticed them.
The neighboring house/small farm right next to our site had two large outdoor dogs that stood at the perimeter of their yard and barked all hours of the day and night, sometimes at us, sometimes at nothing at all, and made it tough to sleep and work. If you can get a site on the far side of the park (we were next to the dumpster, too, and the garbage truck was very loud in the middle of one of our workdays) you might find it quieter. The owner said they'll be adding a fence on that side to help as well.
I'll definitely be back someday, especially once they expand to have some additional places to walk and more sites. It's a great home-base to sightsee from, just sometimes a little loud for working-from-home folk like us. The cellular service was on the slower side for our video calls: about 20 mb down and 4 up on both ATT and Verizon, unboosted. I didn't get out our Starlink to test it because it was so windy, but the owner was kind enough to lend us their wi-fi to work from (about 100 mb down and 20 up) when we were having issues with our cellular speed.
