Saulisberry Park Campground

On our way through we pulled into this site and were pleasantly surprised. We did not have a reservation. Friendly host, full and partial hookups available. We were &21 for electric. Nice job by the city to maintain the grounds.

I called the City of Kenton to inquire about this park. I was give the name and phone number of the ‘caretaker’; called and left a message but didn’t hear back. We arrived about 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. The bait shop was closed so we drove around the park, which was very crowded with RV’s, trailers, and tents. We could not find an open spot of any kind, much less with electric - most of the trailers and RVs along the back where the hook-ups were,next to the train tracks, look like they had been here for years. We saw a couple of people and asked about the location of the caretaker but they didn’t seem to know. So we found a spot on the grass that was level enough and stayed the night. The next morning we found him and paid for the spot.
