The dirt road would be difficult for large rids to access. Going too far to the left will have you in a sandpit. There are many campsites and some better than others. The campers next to me took up 3 prime campsites for one family of 4. Very inconsiderate. But aside from that, our say was great.

We decided to check out this location on a complete whim. We couldn't find any information about it anywhere, but decided to just go for it. We are so glad we did. This site is absolutely gorgeous! There are abundant camping spots, the river running through is stunning, the scenery is out of a movie, and it's about as secluded as you can get. We saw deer, antelope, foxes, hawks, falcons, and owls here during our stay. Once you get to the site it is truly heaven on earth!
Now for the bad part. This is not an easy campsite to get to. You have to take a 7 mile long dirt road off the highway to get here. The road gets progressively worse the entire way to the campground. Towards the end of the road you are going to have to deal with some seriously deep potholes in the dirt road. We managed to make it in with our 24' 5th wheel, but it required some creative driving. There were more than a few times the side of the 5th wheel was sitting on the side of the truck bed. I would not suggest anything larger than 24' for 5th wheels. Pull behinds may have a bit more clearance. If you've got a slide in truck camper you'll be just fine. Smaller class B and C rvs with adequate ground clearance will be ok as well. Fair warning there are very very few places to turn around on the road in.
Once you make it into the campground things get even more interesting. The road in splits in 2. I highly suggest going to the right first, towards the bathroom. There are a couple of prime camping spots over there, which is where we camped and is relatively easily accessible. I would suggest everyone go here and park by the bathrooms to scout the road to the left. There are a bunch of amazing camp spots down that way. However the road gets extremely rough to the left and I wouldn't suggest it for anything but slide in campers and small tow behinds. Scout the road first and make your decision.
Don't let me scare you off. This site is truly magnificent. Just be aware that it isn't the easiest to get into. Once you are there though it is truly magical. Also be aware of local weather. We drove in on dry roads and planned to stay for 4 days. We had a couple of nights of soaking rain. This made the road impossible to get back out of and ended up staying for 6 days to wait for roads to dry.
We will definitely be back to this site. The whole time we were there we saw maybe 3 other vehicles pull into the site. All of them there for the day, or just the night. We had the whole place to ourselves.
