There are four camping areas (one is tent only - no elec/water), almost all sites are on water. Sites are level and very spacious with elec/water. The park is quiet and beautiful, with lots of hiking/biking trails as it connects to Martin Dies Jr State Park on its northern border. There are three bath houses with flush toilet, running water and showers. They are clean but dated (metal toilets with no seats, push button showers). Some sites can have a long walk to the bathroom, so check that out before reserving. The lake is beautiful and lots of fishing. There are 3 boat launches and a a canoe launch. The dump station was being upgraded on our visit.
No laundry facilities on site. There was a playground in the far end.
The only thing keeping this from the five-star is the bathrooms.

I work remotely so cell coverage is important. Some areas have more like three bars solid. I’m in the section with the 70s which is a little older apparently and those sites are smaller and they definitely have two bars Verizon.
It’s quiet.

A wonderful peaceful park! Our site #24 was right on the lake and it was huge. We have a 41ft Class A with a toad. No sewer h/u, but a dump station is nearby. Great sunsets on the lake. The roads in are fine if you take it slow. When we arrived the hosts told us to just go to our prereserved site and our tag was at the site. The sights... more

Far walk to bath house, you may have to drive if you’re too far. Great price and lake views are lovely. Stayed in January and practically had the place to ourselves

Perfect spot on the water. Large enough space for our 28ft camper but not more than 30ft. Walked around the park and all sites are well spaced.
