Very quiet place. Camp site 10 is the best one you have a little beach area to get into the creek. It’s an 12 minute walk to Stone Mountain lower falls my family ( wife and two small kids 2 & 5) hike it with no problem.

First I have to say, this is a pasture by a stream with partial hookups. There are no roads, no rocked or paved sites. It’s a pasture. I don’t mind that but that why I gave it only 4 stars. However, the owner is super nice and accommodating. He doesn’t care how you pull into the site - we pulled in to face our friends camper. The bathrooms are small but spotless. There is a dump station on the way out. The best part is that you walk across a dead end road, hop on a path and hike into Stone Mountain Park. There’s lots more hiking once in the park and a beautiful trout stream to fish. This is a pretty remote area so stock up on groceries before you get there. If you’re looking to get away from rule-heavy campgrounds and do some hiking and fishing, Sandy Creek is the place for you!
