Sands Country Cove Campground

We had a change of plans and spontaneously called them at 10pm as we drove by. They were pleasant and able to accommodate our 70ft rig. This is a private farm field that has been converted to a grassy campground with lake access (and nicely done with 20, 30, and 50 amp service, water hookups, and septic for some sites. Also a dump station on site). There are 38 sites with 30 of those being full season contracted. A huge (estimate 4 acre) open grass playground with play equipment in the rests in the center alone with bathrooms. There is a wooden mini golf course and game room with pool and ping pong. The owners and annual residents are very pleasant. For us… we’re really not a fan of what we call “parking lot camping” and this is that for sure. Just not enough privacy for us… there is also a paved bike trail a couple miles away.
