We had a short but very pleasant stay at The Sanddollar RV resort. The location was great! The waterfront is just steps away and there are a few restaurants and bars less than a mile away. We walked to Lulu’s bar and Hu Dat restaurant. We had a blast at Lulu’s and a great meal at Hu Dat.
The pool at the Sanddollar looked nice but was to chilly to use. The bathrooms were clean and my shower had plenty of hot water. (although my husband said his shower was tepid). Sites were close together but everyone was very friendly. Only downside was the noise from the airport but after awhile you don’t notice it as much. We will definitely stay here again!
Anne would stay here again

Beautiful spot on the Gulf of Mexico...entire area was hit terribly hard by Hurricane Harvey 3 months before we arrived, but the beautiful oak trees survived. 5-10 minute walk to the Intracoastal Gulf waters depending where in the park you are. Black Bellied Whistling Ducks were a joy to listen to as they flew overhead every morning and evening. Staff was great, as was the fishing (Mostly Trout, Redfish, Black Drum and Sheepshead in winter. Enjoyed numerous days easily riding 1 speed beach cruisers for miles, as the land is generally flat. Our space was sand, which was a bit of a mess when it rained, but the main negative for us was the very loud, and constant aviation school planes buzzing just a few hundred feet overhead all day, many days. Pool was nice, clean, and open year round but not used in winter because it wasn't heated. The main positive for us were the wonderful people we met, and proximity to the Gulf beaches. Port Aransas was our favorite day trip which involves a free 24-7, 365 ferry ride to the barrier islands... on which you usually see porpoises if you get out of your vehicle for the short trip across the shipping channel. A very nice spot all in all...thank you Sandollar for the best (and only) 3 month vacation ever!
