Stayed here for the night just to rest up on our way home. This place is off highway 50, about 20 miles to west of Falon. The sign reads free Tuesday and Wednesday. So we stayed for free. It was very quiet, only one other rig was here. Lots of spots to camp just be careful if you have a big rig not to go in to far because the sand ... more

This review is correct. We went off the first persons review about staying at the Pony Express information kiosk. There is no camping allowed at the kiosk. We pulled in at dusk and had no other option but to stay at Sand Mountain which was fine since we wanted to explore the dunes. However, one night of camping cost us $40. You can onl... more

Camped at pony express station exhibit.
There was noise during day in distance of sand dune vehicles but we didn't camp there. Try the pony express. Off the NV 50 south east of fallon. BLM land
