One of the best places in BAJA for small boat fishermen and fisherwomen. San Marcos isle is 7 miles east of camp and an easy ride even in a moderate blow. Great Yellowtail fishing during the winter months and dorado (mahi mahi) in the summer months.

We were not thrilled but it seems a popular spot for a lot of people. Cell reception is very good and that was why we were there. I needed to do some work. Level spots, the ocean sites were 50 pesos more. Some spots with hook ups and there was a dump station, which we didn’t use. Also the full timers said that the showers were nice and hot but with Covid going around we did not try them either. Quiet end peaceful. Lots of shells on the narrow beach.

The town is close, has a couple of mini markets, one does decent tacos. Event got a haircut in town, at a salon on the ladies front yard. $3!

Camped here 3 days with my dog. There were several Canadian RV's already here when I arrived. The place is large enough and some of the sites have palapas. Fresh water is available thruout the park as well as decrepit toilets and bathrooms but people here didn't seem to mind. No electricity or dumps. There is wi-fi and a very small eating place open only on Saturday and Sunday. MiniSuper Lil is close enough when you need things such as ice and food. The bay in front is full of stingrays of all stages of development so was warned not to venture from the shore. I would not consider the bay a good swimming area due to low tides. People said it was more of a fishing location. Because there were quite a few RV's around as well as fishermen I wore earplugs every night.

There is an RV park immediately east of here as well, which in my mind was better, but the bathrooms looked shoddy and our traveling companions, the Mish crew, had already popped their top, so we stayed here. Still, this one had beach access and we snagged the last beachfront spot.
No electricity or sewage that I could find. But fresh water, probably not the kind you'd want to drink, but fresh water. A fellow camping couple came over and warned us that the water was full of sting rays. No swimming in frigid waters was fine by me.
Giant palms waved the sun to sleep. Full-time residents were nowhere to be seen in the evening, but occupied most of the waterfront sites, only showing their faces come the early light of morning. TelCel was on 5 bars of Edge, so no data service at all.
A small store named MiniSuper Lili was within a decent walk's distance. Beer, snacks, that sort of affair.
Ten miles or so away, Santa Rosalia was a quaint but not small Mexican town full of busy streets and bustling shops. I will fall asleep to brisk winds and silence beneath the stars.
And to that, I do declare, enjoy!

Mali Mish – Santa Rosalia and San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
After the palm tree oasis of San Ignacio, we headed further south to the teeny tiny town of San Carlos. We were just looking for a spot for the night and the oceanfront spot at San Carlos Cove RV Park...
