“Secluded Riverside Sites”

We snagged one of the last sites available on a Friday evening in late July. This campground is pretty tucked away with no cell signal for at least 10 miles. If quiet seclusion is what you’re looking for, this is it. Highlights are the river and the huge trees surrounding you. The sites are best suited for tents, car camping or very small trailers. Our 18ft travel trailer barely fit in the largest site available.

There is no host on site. Fees have to be dropped off at the next campground down the road, which was a bit confusing upon arrival. No water but there are pit toilets.

“Quiet spot by the river”

It’s a nice spot for when the other camp grounds are full. First come first served and there are usually spots on busy weekends. Road is a bit long to get there though. Careful with google maps. It will send you through index and the road has been washed out for 7 years. You MUST go to heckler road to access the campground.
