“Good spot between Santa Fe and ABQ”

Reviewed Nov 11, 2018

Overall Rating

Other reviewer covered it well. Not fancy but an easy drive into Santa Fe. Make sure you check out Farmers Marker in Santa Fe.

Diesel prices are good, potable water and dump available but not at each site.

Casino food is not good. Casino staff are very nice.

“30&50 amp, gravel, fairly level, dump station w/ potable water, no shade”

Business renamed 12-2017 to Black Mesa Casino, formerly known as San Felipe Casino. RV lot is laid out sparsely. Power pole setup has two rigs on one pole, each with it's own power box. One rig will face southwest, opposing rig will face northeast. Power boxes have a padlock until you register and pay at the casino guest services desk. Security beat me back to the site to unlock the box. Tip: find a level site FIRST, then go pay. The whole lot is on an side to side incline and the spaces are mostly level, but I had to pass on the first site I tried because jacks wouldn't compensate enough. The whole lot is gravel, some larger than egg size. Security is very present in green gator and white car. The casino and grounds are in a small canyon, so winds last nite were pretty swirly. Didn't hear a thing from the 18 wheeler lot or the freeway within view....dead quiet after dark. Good Verizon phone and hotspot signal. Picking up wifi from travel center with wifi booster antenna. Casino does advertise showers associated with the RV park only ($5). Dump station has an electronic code box on it-must pay at guest services (price unknown, got the code when I paid for camping). Signing up for their casino card is free and they put $10, also free, on the card to get you started. The only negative is an SUV load of dogs(off leash, crapping everywhere) that someone drove into the RV parking area with (not camped there). I was in the process of leveling, etc.....I should have called security, they will be reported for SURE if I catch them again! And understand I travel with THREE dogs always leashed and picked up after. Those yahoos ruin it for folks like me.
