I stumbled across this place when we got a job in the area. I will be here for several years so I pay monthly. $500 month with full hookup. Always quiet and well kept. Lots of nature and fishing. Park staff is great and responsive if renters need anything at all

Spent 2 weeks up the road in the national forest when my inverter faulted. This place was close and I knew they had power. I called ahead of time to try to reserve a spot and was told to just pick a spot and someone would come by in the evening to collect the fee. I arrived on Saturday and started exploring, found a drag strip towards the rear of the connected fairgrounds and watched some time trials. I stopped by the office to try to pay but nobody was around. Monday evening they came by to collect the fee. Check or money order only. You also need a water key, or be willing to reach into the 4 inch PVC pipe arm deep into the hole to turn on the water with some pliers if you come on the weekend. The hill to the campground is a steep 1/4 mile 4WD recommended, or pick up some speed before that last 500ft. Tons of fishing here, 1 giant lake and a few small ponds. With the weboost I was able to get usable signal for data. Overall a quiet, well maintained place with gorgeous blue water. I would recommend coming m-th if you want to interact with the staff as nobody works on the weekends. If not, have a water main shutoff wrench/key. Lots are somewhat level and gravel. Tested 4 pedestals all had good power. Upper lot is newer but all of them are in decent shape.

If you take Bloomingdale 152 exit please know there is a tunnel, 12'0 clearance at rt23 &rt 177 There is a way to avoid it by going through and around Fernwood state forest. If you put the town of Weems into your GPS it will navigate you around that clearance issue.

The camp office and dump station is at the rear of the fairgrounds. Follow the main road in the park to the fairgrounds. At the fork turn right to go to the dump station 1/4 mile or so on the left. At the fork keep left and follow the road all the way to the back. You will come to a gate that looks like it goes nowhere, keep... more
