Awesome spot for our 31 ft TT. Wish I had noted the site #, but it was next to the friendly, knowledgeable camp host's site. Shade and sun throughout the day and just a few steps from the clear, flowing water of the Salmon. Bathrooms just across from us, very clean and maintained. We were surprised it wasn't very crowded which was great. Back-in spots were roomy. Perfect location for exploring Redfish Lake, Stanley, the fish hatchery, Sunbeam Dredge, etc. Closest cell service was about a mile towards Stanley, but it wasn't a big deal.We even had a fox pass through just yards away from camp on Day Two. We're already planning to return next year!

We stayed 9 days at this campsite. We love Stanley, Red Fish Lake & The Sawtooth Mountains. Site #15 right by the river, saw elk & osprey’s. Traffic noise during the day from road but very quiet at night. This campsite is located in Lower Stanley. Not very many people at the campground When we first got there during the week but the closer it got to the weekend the campground was full. Clean bathrooms, no hook up or cell service, water is available, not far from lake or town.

We stayed here because it was close to the Bathhouse hot springs, Yankee Dredge and old mining town. Every one has a bad day he thought he was done for the day but self check in was not work so I had to knock on his door to pay for camp site. The sound of the river was great for sleeping and the stars were vary bright.

This is where you camp when you haven’t made reservations and can’t get in to Redfish Lake...this and the 3 campgrounds farther north. It is situated on a narrow piece of land between the river and the highway, so there is a lot of daytime traffic noise. But some of the sites are large and lovely, level and paved. Trying to get to the river, close as it is, can be very frustrating, as there really aren’t any paths or little beaches like there are on so many Idaho rivers. Also this is the higher part of the Salmon, so it’s quite shallow. Good for tubing, even for kids. The $8 is for seniors with a pass...others it’s $16. Easy access, only a couple of miles from Stanley.
