“Meadows and views!”

The other reviewer is right. The Meadows here are beautiful. There’s a fence to keep the cows out so the flowers and grasses are abundant. What was disappointing was the lack of wildlife. I expected to see lots of birds, ground squirrels and other wildlife but saw very little movement. Perhaps there were deer but we didn’t stay out late enough to see them because the flies and mosquitoes were voracious In the evening. The view of Tiffany Mountain is amazing.

Our site had a picnic table and fire grate. There are 2 clean vault toilets at ends of the meadow. The loop road is dusty but there’s not a lot of traffic. The campground is a prime staging area for ATVs and dirt bikes so if that’s not your thing come during the week.

“Very nice campground with choice of shade or sun”

The word 'meadow' should be emphasized! Beautiful wildflowers cover the upper campground with sites along the perimeter. We were there in July 2020 and were nearly alone except for a tent at the other end of the meadow. The road to the campground had a pothole here and there but our 25' converted shuttle bus climbed the long dusty hill to the campground without much difficulty. There are a few campsites along the road to Salmon Meadows ... some look really nice along the river and in the forest. We may choose one of them the next time we are there. I'd rate it an 8 out of 10 ... only because it isn't free (smile). While I rated the campsite as very quite there were Naval or Airforce jets that seemed to engage in maneuvers for about 30 min every night ... and also, we were essentially alone.
