Hulstrom Family would stay here again

“Only stay if you can be on the beach”

Reviewed Jul 17, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed here one night on our way home from Oregon. The beach spots are absolutely gorgeous. You can only stay on them if you are under 28 feet as it is very tight to get down there. Water and electric only. But totally worth it. Would not stay here if not on the beach. The rest of the campground is a little run down. The staff was very friendly.

“The photos make this RV 'resort' look clean and rather quaint and rustic, but it is not, it's awful!”

We'd made a reservation (sight unseen) to stay here for a week so we could enjoy the local sights. But when we arrived we saw that the park is completely run down; deep potholes, bad wiring, lots of run-down trailers and campers with full-timers. After walking through the park we told the front office that we changed our minds, thanked them, and kept on driving south. Really sad because the location is lovely. Normal fee is $36 per night, but it's $18 through PA.

“We didn't stay ”

We stopped here awhile back in a 5th wheel camper and asked at the office if it was ok to look around before we decided to stay. The little Spanish girl in the office at the time was not very friendly she was actually rude and snippy. We walked down the center of the park to have a look. I couldn't believe all the dumpy mobile homes and some of what seemed to be permanent camper's. Bad wiring bad electrical boxes . Turned around walked back to the office told the little lady that we would not be staying and moving on. We ended up staying at shoreline rv park in Crescent City California
