We stopped here based on reviews and it did not disappoint. We are veterans so got a discount to pay $7.50 otherwise it would have been $18.

We stayed at site 6. It’s a pull-through, long, and very level. We have a 27’ trailer. We did not disconnect.

There is a river there. Rumor from the only other camper there was that the fish weren’t biting. Haha!

Great place to stop for a night or two.

We went from here an hour south to Bannack State Park and saw the ghost town. A great stop and something a little different to do than our usual hiking!

“Beautiful Camp on the Big Hole River”

Overall Rating

While beautiful the campground is small. Only 6 sites plus large Day Use area with a boat launch. There is a warning by the launch, water is shallow for larger craft. The is a train track about a mile away. You can here the train, but not unpleasant and very few when I stayed.

The site, while new are a little crowded. One vault toilet is available. That's it. No water or trash. Pack it in - Pack it out. Leave no trace.

Access is a little narrow, bu doable for my 32' Fifth Wheel. Any larger and it probably would be difficult.
