Went here for our first shakedown trip this weekend in the new RV (2023 GeoPro 20BHS). Site Z011 was where we stayed way over by entrance to the boat ramp. It was a bit crowded this weekend but most of the sites around us were tent sites so not too many RV's on this side of the campground. Overall it is a great place but we didn't explore the camp store or showers. The beach on the ocean side is only about a 10 minute walk from the far edge of the campground and is a gorgeous Massachusetts barrier beach.
Definitely bring extensions for water and electrical hookups as they may be a bit far. Each site has 2 20-amp outlets, a 30amp and 50amp. No sewer hookup at the sites but there is a dump station near the entrance. If you are taking showers or using a lot of water you may want a portable holding tank that you can fill and bring to the dump station.
Cell coverage on AT&T seemed fine but with the low and sparse trees this campground is perfect for Starlink which is what we used while there.
A few of our neighbors behind us in one of the tent sites were a bit loud until about 10:30pm and there was a steady stream of cars leaving the boat ramp until about 11pm but overall everyone was well behaved. One thing to note is that alcoholic beverages are not allowed at this campground as it is run by DCR.
Nightly rate was $35 + $4.50 in fees (per trip not per night). I believe it may be more expensive if you are not a Massachusetts resident. Looking forward to heading back to this campground for a few more nights the end of September.

Would walk through it and do it’s business. Not a fan of that. The cg also has a resident skunk that meanders around. Scared the $@&- out of me as In the dark came by the fire pit on its way to our garbage can. Note to self always get rid of garbage after dinner.
It’s full into our garbage can. Mmm scallops a treat. Otherwise the place is very mellow, near village and shopping. Davids seafood on Bridge st is a plus and they will steam the lobsters
For you. Had a great time. Stayed here in a fifth wheel. Bring your portable waste tank and also extra lengths of hose and possibly extention cord. As utilities aren’t always where you need them. Happy trails

This is a busy, mostly open camping area with scrubby trees plopped here and there. There is no privacy between sites.
All RV sites have 30/50A and water - but be ready to employ extension electric cords and extension hoses for water, depending on your site. The hook-ups in MA State Reservations are... interesting.
There is 4 lane dump station at your disposal.
This is a quiet park - IF your neighbors decide to participate. While you cannot hear the ocean, you also cannot hear road noise (other than inner park road noise).
There are a lot of skunks here, but they are pretty used to people being around and we never smelled them. The gulls will assail your garbage within 10 minutes of leaving it outside.
Because it's nestled next to a salt marsh (and a river, and the beach) it sometimes stinks to high heaven of salt marsh.
The walk to the beach from the rear of the campground is about 1/2 miles; from the front, it's closer to a 1/3 of a mile.
The shower house is not the best, but it's usable. Bring shower shoes. Be ready for a cold shower; sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's not.
We didn't note too much management of the place; at one point our neighbors parked their boat across another site (and then were gone), and when that camper arrived they were unable to get into their site and it was just a... conundrum. It seems they eventually found a park attendant who put them in a management site and the boat just.. stayed. Weird.
The center of Salisbury Beach (town) is pretty dead at this point - a few pizza shops, sometimes open fried dough places, and a few arcades whispering of times past - but the beach itself remains nice - and access form the state park is some of the best.
Verizon can get pretty congested here; AT&T is a bit better, but not much. There is a Starlink cell in the area, but it was full the entire time we stayed at this park.

If you like any sort of privacy or relaxation, this place isn’t for you. We had inconsiderate neighbors all around us. Kids running through our camp site. The only pro to this place is the bathrooms. Other than that, overpriced and will not be returning.

Helpful and friendly staff at the campground. Easy parking with plenty of space around the site. The only drawback is no septic. But they have a good dump station.

The quiet hours I believe are 10pm-7. I have little ones that had A hard time sleeping. The campground after a certain time allows anyone to go in to visit other campers. After I called several times. They finally said something. There’s no alcohol allowed on the grounds and they were definitely drunk. I know from the past that they use to tell you that you had to leave.

My first site was too far away from the water & electric connection. I asked to be moved and it was handled perfectly.
I thought it was a bit expensive for a state park.
4 dump stations was a plus. Check in process was a bit slow, even with a reservation.

The park location is great: salt marsh, Merrimack River, Atlantic Ocean. Long flat beach to walk on at low tide.
And that's the best thing about this place. It is understaffed: on a saturday when the park was full up, there was one office person, no park rangers, and so no crowd control or anyone to enforce any type of regulation. So the site right next to me has a long trailer, 2 trucks, a car, and a boat. I literally have the boat parked about a foot from my trailer. Quiet hours are not enforced at all either, so don't expect things to quiet down till midnight. With care and maintenance, this would be a great park. As it is now, I won't be back after this trip. Mass should do better than this for $48/night for out-of-state campers.
