As RV Chickadee stated, take the second road in. You come in on the road between the vacated railroad tracks and the fence bordering the property. You have to make a hard right turn into the break in the fence that has wooden fenceposts on either side.

This is the tricky bit and if you have a longer rig, you probably don't want to (can't) make this turn-in.

The site itself is unremarkable. Just a dirt lot with lots of weeds. And in those weeds lurks goat heads and grasses that stick to everything. Your feet if you are wearing flip-flops, your socks/shoes if wearing those, your pets. Be prepared to be picking stuff outta your feet and your pets fur. All. The. Time. Yes, it gets rather annoying.

The camp host has reported rattle snakes here as well.

It's directly across the Arkansas River from a pricey RV Park. Which comes with all the 'joys' of an RV park. Barking dogs, people slamming car and RV doors while yelling at each other. Sure, you aren't paying for the privilege of this 'atmosphere' so there is that.

And road noise is abundant. Highway 50 is right on the other side of the RV Park so you get the pleasure of listening to constant road traffic. It does taper off at night, but it's definitely still there, so bring your ear plugs.

Redeeming features include good Internet and close to town.

This spot is small. The host says you could fit 'a hundred' rigs in here, but if that were even possible, it would look like any typical RV sales lot. I'd say it would only be comfortable with 6 or 7 rigs here before I'm looking into my neighbor's bathroom window.

The road in is ok, but only if you take the second entrance. Still, I wouldn't want to maneuver a big Class A into this area. Even then, if you have any kind of RV over 22' or so, don't go straight b/c there is a pretty good dip. I'd go right. My friend Sondi went through the dip with her 26-ish class c motorhome, forgot about her bike rack on the back, and scraped pretty hard. I was relieved we got through it.

There's a camp host here who makes sure the rules aren't broken aka people don't try to 'live' here, and overstay their welcome, as happens in many free spots close to cities and towns.

There's a railroad track next to the camp but it's deserted. A river runs on the other side. Can hardly hear it but it's faintly there. You definitely hear the road noise.

There's really no view, so don't come here for that. This is a good place to come for a few nights to be close to town, but otherwise, it's not anyone's dream boondocking location by far.

Oh, but the internet seems to work just fine, ATT and Verizon. But we know how the internet can 'move'. It's likely to be ok tho.

Forest Road 272 (on Campendium) is a much better choice. Lots of room, pretty trees, plenty of space in between spots. Shavano is good as well.

14-day limit here I believe. But don't quote me on that. Ask the camp host. He's SUPER DUPER nice!

No off-hand fires you must use a pit and you MUST have a toilet or you can't stay.

EDIT: When leaving, both Marshall and myself bottomed out on boulders that were sticking up. I got away with it, Marshall had to build a ramp to get over his without damaging stuff. Yeah.
