Stayed here on March 3, 2020. It was eerily deserted, only one other person here. I dropped a check in the slot ($18) for one night, it was never cashed. A ranger came by in the morning to clean the bathroom.

This park was clean with bathrooms with running water but no showers, easy to get to with a camp host and a ranger. There was a dump station which we did not use and a short hiking trail to the top of the butte. It’s not the type of place you would want to stay long at but quite adequate for a night or 2 to break up a long drive.

People complaining about it being partially closed but that's because there aren't that many people and, as a former campground host, I can say you want to keep things at the minimum because people are incredibly messy and leave garbage behind and around the site and don't get me started on how they leave the bathrooms... So, Why open the entire campground if there are, like, 3 people here right now?

Clean flush toilets and sinks. Dump station for RV. Nice hiking trail up a close mountain. Hike is about 2 miles. Good cell service. Covered picnic table, fire ring and grill at each site.
