Question about Sacramento Pass Recreation Area

Fran asked on 9/19/2019

Does Sacramento Pass Recreation Area have a check-in process? Like signing-in with a BLM Ranger? Is it first-come-first serve? Thank you!

A word of caution as it was a while ago when we were there but no check in and first come first served. An AWESOME area with views for miles.

1st come/1st served. There were open spots all 4 nights we were there (late September).

This is an isolated BLM campsite on US Hwy 50. There is no check-in and no fees. If you go about a quarter mile further off the main campground, there is another campground set up for horse people
