By far the best site I found in the area (that was open in mid April). Huge easily accessible spots complete with their own covered picnic tables, fire rings and grills. Not too bad vault toilet at the entrance and a small pond. Beautiful views of both sunset and sunrise. Definitely tailored for RVs as there isn’t any privacy.

Planned to stay here one or two nights while visiting Great Basin NP. The grounds are very clean. Small stocked fishing pond, spacious sites with patios and covered tables. BLM camping can not really get any better than this!

Stopped here a couple of times to work. Great picnic table with tree shade but open enough for a good Starlink signal without obstructions. Fairly clean pit toilets. Highly recommend!

We rolled the dice and made our way to this little camp site with only 10 spots. We stayed at site 10 on the upper lope. We have stayed at many free spots but this was on of the best, large well maintained areas for camping. Beautiful hiking area right behind us. We wished we could have stayed longer but will be back again.

This place almost makes me think that the government does useful things with my tax money. Without a doubt, this is up there with the best campgrounds I’ve ever camped at, public or private. If you stay here go to the upper campground to get away from the highway noise.

Safe stop. Families here camping. Just super cold. They have restrooms and a little pond which is nice. Also have bbqs. Picnic areas. I’d stay again. Safe for non 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicles.

Stayed 1 nite on way to Great Basin. Large sites in lower area near fishing pond. Walked up to equestrian area and although steep grade, should not be a problem on gravel roads. No cell service.

Great layover right off the loneliest highway in America. Stayed for 2 nights allowing us to explore Great Basin National Park. Very little highway noise.

Plenty of room for larger RV's quiet, no dump, water or power. Nice restrooms and spacious sites with picnic tables and hut, bbq grills and fire rings.

We rode our mountain bikes from our campsite. It looks like you could access roads with OHV’s as well. Easy day trip to Great Basin National Park.
We were all over that campground and the only cell reception we got was a sporadic 1-2 bars of 3G Verizon, but mostly no service.
The dumpster was over flowing and the wind had blown trash all over the place. I went down to do my part and pick up the trash. When I got there a BLM worker was there. He said that the trash was only picked up once a month until summer. Together we got it all picked up. People, take your trash if the dumpster is full!

We passed through the area in late May 2021 and stopped planning to spend a night. Unfortunately there was NO Verizon cell service. We moved on to Ward Mountain Campground near Ely and Verizon was great there.
