We had 5 bars of 5G Verizon, and pulled 60MB DL 23MB UL on a Mofi router pullinf cell service form that tower. The campground has cable TV connections that gave us 40 something channels that worked fine and the WiFi was good to where were stayed.

Can’t blame me, they “guided” me that way. :/ We asked twice to move but they couldn’t accommodate, even though we had made reservations 10 months in advance. You will get moved to accommodate bigger rigs. The site was marginally level. It’s in a great location but the cell service is horrid. For that reason we would not recommend. Great mountain biking and hiking trails close. Close to many things things to do, just felt like we weren’t listened to from the beginning.

We booked a shady RV site (#84) on the phone 3 weeks before our stay. Shade was important as we have 2 double-coated dogs and I have lupus with light sensitivity. We were assigned a spot in full Sun on their front lawn (#5). I’m talking we were on the wrong side of the gated entry behind a shed. It was so far from all of the amenities it wasn’t practical to use them. I mean who wants to haul laundry down a driveway with a line of RVs checking in and through the entire park. The older blonde woman was rude and unprofessional. She tried to pass it off as an “upgrade” because it was next to the “lake” (btw there is no lake, it’s a pond) which I felt was both dishonest and insulting. The real kicker was that site #84 was vacant the whole time. My family and I never felt so unwelcome. It was such a bad experience that we left a day early (they did not offer to reimburse us). In terms of cleanliness, our site was covered in goose poop, we found a retainer on our site, and the dumpsters were overflowing.

Great staff that escorted us to our site - and we were glad to have their help guiding us into that eenie weenie teeny tiny site! Had to choose between our picnic table or our car because both couldn’t fit on the site! Seriously the smallest tightest spot we have ever had, and we have no slideouts.
I would stay again if we were in a pinch, but I’d try to find something else if I could. Sites were just wayyyy too close together.

We stayed on the following dates: 9/29-10/2. Yes, the sites are small, not a lot of privacy, but this place is immaculate. There is a pool, which we did not use, but it was very well kept. Laundry facility which we did use was great. They had a huge selection of brochures for what there is to see in the area. It is a short drive to Ashville, Biltmore and Cherokee NC. The staff was friendly upon arrival, took us to our site, helped us back into our spot. We stayed on site 104 a back-in to the lake. We enjoyed watching the ducks and geese on the water. Road trip to the little town of Fletcher found a beautiful park and walked the 3.5 mile trail with our dogs. We really enjoyed our stay, and if we are in this area again, we will make Rutledge Lake Park an new staycation destination.

Most of the campground is gravel and asphalt roads that are in need of repair. They have attempted to landscape between some of the sites but made some poor choices. There are rosebushes and their thorns and a bush that has sharp edges that make it difficult to get to your hookups. Some bushes at the end of rows block your view of oncoming vehicles and kids on bikes.
While we were there, a storm took out the power for about 28 hours. There was no attempt made by the campground to keep campers informed of the status of repairs.
They claim to have a heated pool but the conversation among the swimmers was about how cold the water was to be a heated pool.
The ladies bath house was kept clean and stocked.
The laundry was kept clean but there was no change machine and the office went at least two days with no quarters for the machines.
There is a fenced in dog park in the back section of the campground but there are no doggy bags and no trash can so most people don't pick up after their dogs.
No train, plane, or road noise. Campers were usually quiet as well.

My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, stayed at Rutledge Lake RV Resort for 1 night in our Mercedes Sprinter campervan. We prefer to make our reservations online, and found it a bit odd that they actually use a third party booking site that only submits a request to book so we didn't have a confirmed booking until mid-morning the day of our arrival. They also don't offer guaranteed site numbers so you don't know your site until you arrive. In addition, we found out after we arrived that due to the temps we were not supposed to use the water connections. We found it to be to be an extremely expensive reservation, especially given the inability to use the hookups we had purchased. For reference, we paid $68 for one night and had just completed a 4 night stay at another park for $74 total. While the lake was pretty, the sites are very narrow and there is zero privacy. There's also a fair bit of road noise as well. There don't seem to be a ton of great options in the Asheville area and since we needed WiFi in the morning for my husband's work meeting, we opted to stay here, but we wouldn't choose to stay here again in the future. For campers that like lots of amenities, perhaps this is a great fit, but it just wasn't worth it for us. I think it's also worth mentioning that in trying to use the key card the automatic gate dropped on the front of our vehicle, and then in order to park close enough to the hookups my husband hit a post when opening the driver's door.

We stayed here on a trip to Asheville for a funeral. The location was good if you want to be close to town and fairly close to the airport, arboretum, etc.
The site we were given was level, gravel, FHU, with one of their many cabins right behind. The sites are pretty narrow and the large group of campers next door who stayed up very, very late were sitting almost in our site when they were outside and had their 2nd vehicle blocking our exit when we needed to leave. Other than that, the site was fine and much better than the KOA west Asheville sites.
Unhook your tow car as soon as you pull in, because there is no other level spot. Due to Covid, there were packets outside with your campsite listed. Someone escorted us to the site. The roads are narrow, but manageable for our 32 foot motorhome.
There is a gate for entry into the RV sites. I asked if we needed a gate code and was told "No", so assumed the gate would be open when we came back in later that night from funeral preparations. The gate was down and the office was closed. Luckily, our Honda Fit tow car was just able to squeeze through the side of the gate bar and post and we were able to get back to our campsite. We asked again the next day about a gate card and were told that they had run out because people don't return them. They said to call a phone number on the office door if the gate is closed. A keypad gate would be a much better option because most campers do not want to have to wait for someone to drive over to let them back in to their campsite.
We received an email afterwards saying to return our gate card or we would be charged $20. I told them we never received one and we did not end up getting charged.
We discovered that booking this park online is considerably more costly than calling and booking directly. They use Roverpass for online booking which charges fees and listed site selections that were not actually available.
The park is attractive and looked to be well maintained for the short time we were there. There are a lot of restaurants, etc. very close by and it is pretty quick access to the freeway.
